The Evolution of Horror launched back in 2017 and has since grown to become one of the world’s most successful horror and film history podcasts, winning several awards and accolades. In this weekly podcast, host and creator Mike Muncer explores the history of the horror genre, from silent cinema to modern classics, via different subgenres. Each season works chronologically through different subgenres or themes (Slashers, Ghosts, Zombies, etc.) and in each episode, Mike is joined by a different guest from the world of horror to discuss a particular horror movie and its place in horror history.
MIKE MUNCER
Mike is a film journalist , producer and presenter with a lifelong obsession with horror cinema. He began working in television production in 2010 and produced shows such as the BBC ‘Film Show’ with Claudia Winkleman and BBC’s ‘Inside Cinema’ series of video essays. In 2017 he launched the podcast and moved into doing EOH as a full time job by 2022.
